For access to the Internet our company uses a proxy. At start JetProfiler always tries to load upgrades.
    Wishes:
    1) possibility to disable check of upgrades.
    2) possibility to specify to a proxy-server for check of upgrades.

    +1

We have the same problems here.

At least 1) should be easy to implement.

Hi and thanks for the input!

There's currently a long delay in trying to check for software upgrades which takes up to 5 minutes to complete. This is due to a high default connect-timeout value. Is this the problem you are experiencing?

In the coming release, it's been lowered to 5 seconds. So even if there is no option to disable check of upgrades, at least you will not have to wait more than five seconds.

Proxy support is on the roadmap, but no date has been decided.

5 seconds seems ok if you use the program rarely, but a simple option to turn off the update search mechanism (may be in an already existing ini file or via command line option or in any other way) would be the best solution: I don't know other programs that block their execution due to a non existing internet connection on startup.

This has been improved on in the latest release, causing less problems.
